The FIAT is a five-day introduction to the basics of law enforcement intelligence analysis. As the name indicates, the FIAT Program aims to provide a foundation, a basic knowledge and understanding, of the elements of the law enforcement analysis profession. It was designed to be an entry-level curriculum.

Evaluations are completed after each FIAT and cover the course modules and each instructor. The goal is continual improvement of the product.
The content of the FIAT course is designed by the experienced analysts, professionals in the field from various agencies around the world. This makes this course unique.
The FIAT curriculum is guided by IALEIA’s Analytic Standards document and is in line with the US Global Justice Information Sharing Initiative. It meets the training standards requirements set out in the US National Criminal Intelligence Sharing Plan (NCISP).
Certified FIAT instructors are available in the US, Canada and Europe to provide your agency or organization with quality training. They are all experienced, working professional analysts in the field, who have been certified as instructors by IALEIA and the LEIU.
The FIAT meets the criteria for basic level certification with IALEIA.
FIAT is a cooperative venture of the International Association of Law Enforcement Intelligence Analysts (IALEIA) and the Association of Law Enforcement Intelligence Units (LEIU)
Who is this training developed for?
The FIAT course is intended for civilian and sworn law enforcement, along with regulatory personnel who have not received formal, basic, intelligence analysis training or those who require a refresher.

Our training facilities are situated in Gilze-Rijen in the southern part of the Netherlands, offering a conducive learning environment for all attendees. The location boasts ample free parking space, inclusive of charging stations for electric vehicles, ensuring a hassle-free experience for those driving to the venue.
Accessibility is further enhanced with the proximity of the Rijen train station, making it convenient for those opting for public transportation.
Within our facilities, we house a restaurant where participants can enjoy lunch at their own expense, providing a comfortable and convenient option for meal times. The serene and well-equipped setting of our training location, coupled with easy accessibility, makes it an ideal place for immersive learning and interaction.
As a longstanding corporate member of IALEIA, we believe in the significant value of this association and their FIAT training. For this reason, International Anti Crime Academy facilitates this training on a non-profit basis.
Number of training days
This training consists of five training days.
Prior education
No specific prior education is required to enroll in this course. The course will be conducted in English, and it is expected that you have a good understanding and fluency in English.
Cost of the training
The cost of the training is €900,- per participant. (Lunch not included)

We retain the right to cancel the training prior to XX, if there are not enough registrations. Any paid training fees will be refunded within one week following cancellation.

We have arranged special rates with Hotel Van der Valk, Gilze, which is an 8-minute drive from our location. The hotel rate is €123 per person per night (breakfast included).
